Wake County Library Administration Building Expansion & Space Needs Study
Raleigh, NC
Planning
The Wake County Library Administration Building project includes an approximately 10,000 SF expansion and renovation of the existing 20,800 SF facility. Oakley Collier Architects developed two design options to evaluate different configurations of spaces based on departmental and operational needs.
The proposed program includes an administrative area with 12 private offices and a conference room, warehouse circulation stacks providing 2,619 linear feet of shelving, literary and law storage, literary technology and specifications space, a 1,610 SF training room, conference rooms, break room, mechanical and IT rooms, lobby, loading dock, and restrooms.
Both design options also provide approximately 4,000 SF of vacant space to accommodate future expansion.
