Smith Rocky Mount Community Center

Renovating existing space into new commercial kitchen, adding 200 seat community room & associated outdoor patio space, creating new sense of arrival & welcoming entry to the building. Building upgrades include air conditioning the double court gymnasium, creating larger wellness areas & weight rooms, additional program space to include after-school mentoring areas, computer labs, & internet café. Public input meetings were conducted to ensure that the facility met the needs of its users. Exterior improvements include new community garden, expanded splash park, new children’s playground, & various picnic shelters & benches. 27.5 acre park with road realignment for improved parking & site circulation.
