Rocky Mount Sports Complex

The facilities include a 1,970 SF concession stand, work area, 2 meeting rooms, restrooms, and large covered porches. The facility was built as part of the athletic complex, which includes little league baseball fields, adult baseball and softball fields, and soccer fields, and was built on a brownfield site. The project was partially funded with a PARTF grant. Completed in 2006. We later added a 1,248 square foot facility that includes concessions, a kitchen, and restrooms with exterior access. Future designs include a covered picnic area and offices for the City Parks & Recreation staff. It was built as a part of the Rocky Mount Sports Complex. The facility was built on a brownfield site and in a flood prone area. The soils were abated and the building raised 8 feet while still keeping it handicapped accessible.
