Pinehurst Memorial Library Space Needs Study

Oakley Collier Architects was selected to reevaluate the current and future programming and space needs of the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives in preparation for a planned renovation and addition to the existing facility.

The OCA team worked closely with library and archives staff to evaluate the needs of each department and the facility as a whole. The planning process included in-depth group discussions, programming analysis, and walkthroughs of the existing spaces.

Since the facility’s original construction, the Village of Pinehurst has grown significantly, along with the operational and space needs of the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives. The study identified opportunities to better accommodate both organizations and support their future needs within an improved and expanded facility.

The study was completed in 2023.
