Frederick Douglass Elementary School

Oakley Collier Architects was selected by Wilson County Schools to design the new Frederick Douglass Elementary School after the district re-advertised the project. The original school was constructed in 1939 as an elementary/ middle/high school for only Black students, and no longer meets the needs of the growing population.



Our team is currently working closely with the school system to develop a design that aligns with their educational goals while remaining within budget. By prioritizing efficiency, functionality, & cost-effective solutions, we are focused on delivering a plan that meets the district’s expectations. This project is currently under design.
