Bailey Elementary School
Nash County Public Schools, NC
PreK-12 Education
Oakley Collier Architects provided comprehensive master planning and architectural services for improvements to Bailey Elementary School. Construction was phased to allow the campus to remain occupied throughout the project.
Phase 1 included 18 grade-level classrooms, five resource rooms, a new media center, and renovation of the existing gymnasium. Phase 2 included 19 additional grade-level classrooms, an art room, music room, five resource rooms, cafeteria, kitchen, and administrative offices.
The classroom wings incorporate a prototypical elementary school design originally developed by OCA in 1998 for Coopers Elementary School and subsequently used for other elementary schools throughout the district.
